What is ‘Milk & Honey’ Coffee?

Milk & Honey began as a simple idea in the fall of 2024 and became a reality the following year after I stepped away from my full-time job due to ongoing health challenges. Through that journey, I became deeply mindful of what I put into my body—especially when it comes to the food and drinks I consume.

Finding high-quality coffee and clean, thoughtfully sourced ingredients outside of my home proved difficult, and that experience sparked a vision: to create a space for people who value quality as much as I do. A place where great coffee, trustworthy ingredients, and care in every detail come together.

At Milk & Honey, we don’t approach coffee casually. We are committed to studying, refining, and perfecting our craft so that every cup we serve reflects intention, skill, and excellence.

Our mission is simple: to bring people together over truly great coffee—coffee that feels as thoughtful, pure, and trustworthy as what you would make in your own home.

The name ‘Milk & Honey’ is inspired by the biblical promise of abundance and restoration. After walking through a difficult season, this business was built from a place of faith and hope — with the prayer that it would be as much a blessing to our community as it will be to us. (It’s also my two favorite things to add to my espresso).

"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" Psalm 27:13

Who We Are?

We’re a small family—Kate, Dan, and our beautiful son—starting our very first business, rooted in our love for faith, family, and community. Coffee became part of our story in a simple, personal way—I was always bringing Dan to coffee shops, and over time, he began to enjoy it (he wasn’t a coffee drinker until he met me). Our coffee dates quickly became something special to us—even inspiring us to have a coffee cart at our wedding in Florida.

As Dan was discovering his appreciation for coffee, I was learning just how much quality matters—realizing there’s a big difference between coffee that’s thoughtfully crafted and coffee that isn’t. Without even realizing it, we were shaping each other’s perspective. Now, that’s at the heart of what we do. I carry the vision of serving organic coffee made with clean, intentional ingredients, while Dan is the one making sure every cup is brewed the way it should be—never just burnt or bitter coffee in a cup.

More than anything, we hope to create something that brings life to our community and becomes part of the moments people gather, connect, and remember.
